To this he just shoved his hands in his pockets and said, "I will see what I can do" and he didn't move! I asked where my car was, I just wanted to leave. I felt like I was just horribly treated. My 12 year old was with me and I felt bad he had to watch all that. Yes I got the service for free but I was treated horribly.
The next day I looked on the Toyota Lithia website for Grand Forks and saw my same car for 19k. My husband then called them and they told him they would make it right. They agreed to put in a remote start and a block heater at no charge. Lisa called me to make the appointment.

I just had the worst service experience in my 40+ years of owning a vehicle at Lithia Toyota of Grand Forks. I came in for an oil change. When I arrived I was ignored for ten minutes. Another customer arrived and was helped immediately. His vehicle was ready 40 minutes before mine. All others who arrived after me were helped and left and I was still waiting. I have never had an oil change take two hours! I could have driven to Corwins in Fargo and back home in that amount of time and gotten better service. In the future I plan to go to Fargo for all my Toyota service needs.
Long story short, I bought a 2017 Toyota Camry. I payed 24K and got a 1K rebate. A week or so later my friend and I went out of town for work. She was in the market to buy a new vehicle. We went to a different Toyota dealership in Brainerd, MN so she could do some test driving. The man at that dealership noticed my new car and commented on it. He said he was selling my car for 19k. I was totally taken back. I immediately called Toyota in Grand Forks and talked to my salesman who told me it was impossible to get my car for that price. I apologized for taking up his time and hung up.
When the time came to drop off my car it all seemed to go well. They told me it would take about 4 hours to install. I wasn't told that over the phone so wasn't really prepared for that. Luckily my sister lives in Grand Forks and she was able to pick me up. Six hours later my car was ready. I went to pick it up. The man at the counter told me it would cost $700 and something dollars. I told him, that can't be possible? This was supposed to be a free service. He told me they don't do this service for free. I explained the situation and he just stood there like a stone.

So as I sat there trying to figure out how I was going to pay for all of this here comes the manager. He said he was sorry that he didn't recognize my name and forgot to tell them this was a, "charity". A Charity?? I said it wasn't a charity but it was them making it right for what they had done. He told me that he already discussed all this with my husband and basically wouldn't discuss it with me. I am the ome who bought this car, in my name. (figures I would be treated this way! I am a woman in a car dealership...)
After about a month I still had not received the plates for my car. My husband called them and they said they would run the paperwork, they still hadn't run the paperwork? I got my plates a little over a week after that phone call. Horrible. No explanation for anything and the treatment of the customer is horrible. Thank you to the first service person I dealt with! He was wonderful and answered all the questions I had about my car when I dropped it off. At least they aren't all rotten there.
