Update:
Our experience here was less than great. Our room door has a gap you can look over on the top, the room is dirty, scrapes and stains line the walls, sheets are stained, missing towal rack in bathroom, needs paint touch up, AC/heater is falling out of the wall, the pool area is disgusting and mini golf area is beat up, the furniture in the room is old and damaged, all signs in the room and in the public areas say red roof inn still, the "breakfast voucher" is for cereal and muffins or $3 off a restaurant meal. There is Huge management disconnect happening here. Go into a few rooms and actually look at the issues, I can't believe this place operates likes this. Renovate, train your management/staff, or close your doors. We will not be back and won't recommend.
The linens were awful. The towels and sheets were very rough and old. I requested more towels the first night and received two extra towels ONE TIME. The room did not get made up at all the first day. There were two wall sconces but only one of them worked. The shower was adequate but the water did not drain in the tub, so by the end of the shower, the water was up to your ankles. We asked that the drain get looked at, but there was no evidence that it was. The hot tub was nice, and it's a plus that they allow dogs.
This weekend my family had there anual Christmas and it was one of the worse times we have had there. To start with when we got there there was dirty towels laying on the floor in the bathroom. We had no hot water...couldn't even take a shower. The toilet would not flush, My son went to front desk to report it and they gave him a plunger which did not work so the remainder of the weekend the toilet would not flush. It was disgusting to say the least. We have our holiday there every year but this definitely will be the last one. And I want my money back.
Morning after update:
The shower didn't have hot water. Changed to a 1 star.
It was $50/night but cheap doesn't have to mean sacrifice quality. Raised to 2 star because of cost.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The rooms and pool area look NOTHING like the photos on their website. We were told that the rooms were newly renovated but ours was definitely not. Our room was dirty and extremely dated. We were told that we would have a fridge in our room and did not, only a microwave. There was never any towels in the pool area. The first time I went to the front desk and asked for towels I was told, “yeah I know there’s not any down there. I guess I can go put a load in.” Then when I went to ask for a second time I was told that the laundry crew was gone for the night.
Hotel is the usual. Remodeled a while ago bathrooms need work for the bar. I didn't stay at the hotel but I'm being asked for a review about it when I went to the bar inside the hotel. Bar is decent. Ok food. Hotel has a pool and mini golf. So not bad. Only hotel downtown.
