Ok so we stayed here and well, the hotel is older, could use some upgrades, carpets are looking rough in room. But for the price really is expected. What we could not figure out was the weird smell in the room, had smell similar to urine. Finally found it was the bed sheets that smelled bad, like if you leave cloths in the washing machine to long, not pleasant at all. Went to the linen room myself and it smelled the same too. Because of this would give hotel 1.5 stars but the staff there were so awesome. Really would suggest other hotel chains hire these people for a good hotel, really top notch.
The pool seemed to have high chemical levels and the beds could have been a little more comfortable. But the staff were very friendly and helpful, the free breakfast was very good. The rooms were of average size, very clean,up to date and modern. The shower had amazing water pressure which is very rare in any hotel let alone a lower priced "budget" hotel. Will definitely stay here again if ever in Grand Forks again.
I just checked in and checked out of this hotel within an hour as I didn't feel that they were upholding safety standards necessary for my stay. First, I was put in a room that wasn't cleaned which included a bottle of crushed up pills. I was very nice and happy to over look this when they quickly gave me a new room. After settling in I wanted to take a quick dip in the pool but when I stepped in the railing was broken and I fell head first into the wall hitting my knee and ankle on the way down. It was horrifying as I was alone and I could have drowned had that head blow knocked me out. This hotel needs to take a better look at their procedures as the property itself is nice and the staff is perfectly pleasant but there are some very dangerous issues here. I would recommend going with a different hotel for your stay in grand forks. The only reason I am giving two stars is because of the helpful staff, otherwise this was a very scary and eye opening experience for this lone female business traveler
Very nice hotel. When we arrived, after check in time, we went to our room to find it wasn't even cleaned or made up. It seems to be under staffed. Once cleaned, the room was very nice. Very comfortable bed.
Amazing place to stay. Staff was so nice. Really good breakfast. Manager I'm thinking was courtious.
