Did an amazing job fixing my car after having an incident with a deer! Thanks!

They did a great job on my suv

After everything they helped me a lot more then anything communication and talking in person does a lot more then over the phone and it means a lot for what they did for me I never had thought that they where going to to do that for me but thanks again so i was just told that abra will not fix my car because when they mess up on a couple of this I got mad and told them I was going to sue them then me and one of the manage talked and they fixed the problem and I was thinking that every thing was good again but now it's not and it sucks because I only trusted them to fix my suv so

They're attention to detail and the pride they take in their work is hard to find now days. I was absolutely impressed by their work and they cared about my car as if they were working on their own vehicle, this is the only place in Grand Forks I would take my car for body work.

Abra took possession of my 2013 Suzuki Kizashi AWD following a deer collision near Grand Forks ND on December 8, 2014. The estimate was approximately $7500 with damage primarily to the front right fender extending in to the heating/cooling/air conditioning etc. The engine ran fine following the accident however could not be driven due to the engine cooling mechanism (radiator/cooling fans/plumbing/air conditioning/cab heating apparatus etc.). Abra of Grand Forks is an "in network" repair center of my Insurance company....Progressive and together they worked up the repair estimate. The repair work was promised within a bit over a month and I took possession of the car on January 9, 2015. Approximately 150 miles after pick up the car engine quit along the Interstate. The car was subsequently taken to a Progressive "in network" auto repair center located in Bismarck ND where it was diagnosed with a totally destroyed engine. Discussions with 2 auto mechanics there indicated that specific identification of the cause of the engine melt down may never be known however both indicated that it was a result of repair work to the cooling/heating system done at the Abra Center in Grand Forks and relates to the unknown of either faulty parts or labor. The Abra Center in Grand Forks has disavowed any ownership in the total destruction of my car and is refusing to honor any part of their company "Lifetime Warranty" on work performed at their Center. Abra National headquarters in Minneapolis have promised to look into the case but after 2 weeks has failed to get back to me. Abra In Grand Forks has pretty much ducked every attempt to communicate with me. My insurance company Progressive....is doing everything they can to leave me holding as much of the bag as they can. In the mean time....had someone intentionally destroyed my car as it now is I suspect that more than likely that someone would be sitting in jail about now. This is not about someone intentionally destroying my car...humans make mistakes...however it is every bit about professional businesses doing what is right and honorable when they make mistakes. Neither Abra or Progressive are dealing with any sense of fairness and I can only recommend that prospective customers find alternate businesses to deal with. You certainly will find yourself in a predicament similar to what I am dealing with in the event they make a mistake. Principle in this review is that Abra's Lifetime warranty on work performed is basically a joke. My next complaint will be to State Better Business Bureaus as well as State's Attorney Offices of the states these businesses do business in....which is all 50. It is a shame that doing what is right in this day and age seems a lost virtue. Ironically I keep getting requests from Abra and Progressive to fill out their in house performance appraisals and of course they encourage me to rate them at the highest level...or if not to at least notify them before submitting the appraisal to give them an opportunity to improve their performance in the areas they are lacking. This is amazing....zero stars for the both of them although that is impossible since the lowest you can rate them both is 1 star. Read this and let your friends and neighbors know.....this is how you get treated as a customer even when the mistake made is theirs.
