I usually do not write reviews, but it was so bad and uncomfortable, I had to write one. I've been on both sides of the service industry, and I know you can't satisfy everyone or maybe he was just having a bad day but there was no drop of customer service in Chris.
My first impression was already terrible, no hand shake or intro, and I could tell his customer service skills were lacking a lot. Interrupting me while I was speaking, not answering my questions and being super vague which made it sound like he had no idea what he was doing, and telling me loan terminology that had absolutely no purpose in the conversation.
There is an atm in the doorway, but not fan of wells fargo. They charge to hold YOUR money. Insane.
I went to the Wells Fargo location in downtown Grand Forks this past week to see what my options were for a business loan. I was referred to Chris who is their personal loan banker. I decided to go through Wells Fargo because my mortgage and personal loan were through them and Lee, who I had worked with previously, did an amazing job and explained everything to my understanding. I was surprised Lee didn't work there anymore so I worked with Chris.
I'm currently working with Gate City Bank on this, and although I've only spoken to a representative there by phone, I could already tell we are headed in the right direction. My accounts will be closed ASAP with Wells Fargo.
I asked Chris for information booklets or forms I could use to calculate loan amount, he said there wasn't anything here that they had. He kept repeating the same termonologies to cover himself which was really getting to me. Chris advised I needed a lot more years of experience in the industry in order to get started and said we can't approve loans unless you have 50%-60% of the loan amount in cash. Basically, I'd need to find personal investors.
It's convenient but hardly anybody there knows what they're doing. You get charged for multiple things they don't warn you about prior to signing up. Plus the most Complicated loan processes I've ever had in my life. Took a month to get a 3000 student loan and, even with the highest interest rates I've ever saw, you think they'd at least make getting a loan easier.
