The units are wonderful and spacious and the furnishings are a great addition = 10/10

So if you're coming from a residence hall, this is a nice first step. But if you're used to standard apartments and like more flexibility, then living here will be a frustrating experience for you.

The Boden is a pretty good place to live if you're not the independent type. The building is in great shape, and the amenities are excellent. There's a small movie theater, gym, study rooms on every floor and a great lobby that's good for events. The units themselves are furnished and still pretty new, so the appliances are pretty high tech. The walls are thick enough that you won't really hear your neighbors, but the people above you sound like they're walking around in your living room.

The building manager (Scott) tries his best to readily available and is very approachable = 10/10

UND Students? The location can't get any better = 10/10

If you got the money live here. And a tip, keep the place clean as possible. But even that won't save you from being charged.

While signing the lease, you have to put down your security deposit (normally), which is refunded to you at the end of the year. Keep this in mind. Additionally, $150 is needed to put down in order to assist in small events that occur at the Boden such as catering, barbecues etc. Something I thought should be optional, since I did not have the time to attend these events since I was usually busy.

I've lived here for a year now and might I just say wow. Kelsey and Scott are the best. They always have a big smile and happy to help you attitudes. Scott is always willing to go the extra mile to help any of us in any way possible. He's a huge help. Kelsey is a warm hearted person who's always willing to answer any questions about living accommodations. Also huge shout out to the Oxford staff for all they do.

The people who live at the Boden are not too bad, except when there is major partying going on some floors. You can hear the loud steps of women with heels on, or the loud mouths of drunk students wandering hallways. There were many instances where I needed to study or sleep when I needed to go to work or study, but couldn't because of these students. An e-mail was sent our to warn them, but it did not really stop them. So a consistent knock on the door upstairs was done often to tell them to keep it down.

Remember that security deposit you were suppose to get refunded? It doesn't all get refunded. At the end of the year, it's usually common courtesy to clean the apartment the best you can. Management actually gives you a list of things you need to clean specifically. It's pretty detail. These instructions were followed by me and my roommates and hours were spent in a few days to clean it. We did not want to get charged of course. But what happened? We got charged for cleaning, and even a paint job. We cleaned the apartment thoroughly. There was barely any dirt, crumbs or stains. The refrigerator as a whole was cleaned in every crack. The paint of the walls were barely damaged or even touched. One of the people in management even told us the place was the cleanest seen.

My complaints mostly have to do with the management style. The leases are set up to accommodate students that might not have people to move in with. In that case you will get matched with other people and you do have some say if you don't get along with them. But only BEFORE you move in. If you decide to leave before your lease is up, it's your responsibility to find someone to move in after you. Management was clear that they won't bother marketing it themselves, and you'll be paying rent until the next renewal period even if you leave.

Amenities were nice. Management was nice. It's also not too far from campus. But its difficult to walk on the bridge when there is snow and ice. Now for the downfall of this review.

This apartment complex has given me a home away from home. I wont live anywhere else throughout my college experience. The Boden is by far the nicest student living apartments in Grand Forks. Hands down the best decision I have made at UND.

The amenities are endless = 10/0
