Poor job and even worse costumer service. From the moment I walked in did not feel a welcoming environment. Do not recommend this place
I have been debating on writing this for a week or two now but after much thought it needs to be wrote. I went to TD to try something new. I wanted to branch out and try new nail salons for a while. My friend took me to TD because that is where she usually goes for facials and pedicures which she could not stop talking about. This was a first time for both of us getting our manicures done there. We went in the morning and the staff weren't very enthusiastic but they offered us drinks and showed us in. I loved the environment, it was very nice. However the trouble began with my technician. I picked out a gel color to go over the acrylic and he got to work. Now please keep in mind I have been to several nail salons in my life and I am use to getting a mani pedi every three weeks. I've been doing this since I was in highschool. I have a relatively good understanding of the process. He started working and got extremely rough with my hands, as in twisting my thumb to the point to where it was throbbing and painful. I had already explained to him at this point that my arms ( and HANDS) were sore from work and to tell me if he needed me to move at all. He said absolutely nothing to me. He filed down my nails with the rotary tool and shaved off my cuticle and cut me. He did not stop to apologize but instead just proceeded to put some blue liquid on my (bleeding!) cut which had not been washed off and had nail dust on it. I He did take his time shaping my nails but was again twisting my arm until it hurt, and I mentioned that I was sore from work and again, he said nothing and continued. I should have stopped the appointment there but my friend was also getting her nails done and I didn't want to make a scene. Then came the time to put my hands in the little light box. After the first two rounds of setting my hands in there, I got concerned because usually when I go to other nail salons, I only have to to put my hands in two to three times. He used the same brand of gel polish the other salon I go to uses so I was confused. I quietly asked him after the fourth time if he needed me to switch or if we were done and he very rudely told me, " You just do what I tell you to do. Ok? Good!!" At this point I am both very pissed off and near tears and my friend was NOT pleased with the situation. He finished up my nails but cuts my knuckle at one point ( no blue stuff goes on it this time and no apology again). I could go on but long story short I won't be going back again. My friend wasn't impressed with the whole situation either.
Staff was rude and kept yelling at me to relax my hand while he had it twisted to paint my thumbs. Proceeded to lecture me on the fact that he does this all day so his hands hurt so I should be okay with the pain for the time I was there. Was told my entire appointment would taken 1.5 hours but was there for 3! Made me late to another appointment. Not worth the time!
I have been there 3 times for pedicures, each time with a different technician, and each time was wonderful. I love that they give you a hot stone foot and calf massage with a $30 pedicure.
Very nice nail salon. Individually packaged tools, used for just 1 client. Deluxe pedicure, was deluxe! Great massage!
